Continued editing

 May 19th 2023

It was another prolonged day with a lot of editing. We started the day with yet another breakfast that we made at home and then wanted to get started right away on editing. We still have a lot of work to do and we want to make sure we get it all done on time, while also being a quality project. So we started our morning with a lot of editing, we were cutting clips on our interview with Kyle to make it more concise and flowy. We kept editing Kyles interview while also multitasking and considering what we want for the intro music. Therefore we looked on YouTube for some inspiration and looked for some good intro songs. We haven’t decided yet but we now have the outro song and some final contenders for the intro. The documentary is looking very good and very well put together and both of us are really happy with how it looks so far. After a long edit session we took a break and went and played some tennis. It was nice to be outside and enjoy the nice weather. Then we came back home, made a really good dinner which was cacio e pepe which is this really good pasta dish. After we were super full from the amazing dinner we made we went back to the editing. The second session was us continuing were we had left on from the morning session so we kept finishing up those cuts and continue thinking for the next day.

Day 4

May 11 2023, 6:30pm         Today was the day we met with Santiago Marcos who is our mentor. We got up around 8am and went and walked to grab some coffee to start our day. We had our meeting at 1pm, so we had some time before to relax and draft some questions that we were curious about to ask. Then we headed over to our meeting to a restaurant/cafe called Zinc. At Zinc we sat down and got to talk to Santiago about our project, what it entails and how we can make it the best. Camila and I talked a lot about our ideas and what we have been thinking it should look like. Santiago gave us a lot of really great advice and gave us some documentary recommendations to watch to get some creative ideas from. He also gave us a lot of little tips for the audio, soundtrack and how to draw the audience into the documentary. It provided us a lot of insight and a lot of inspiration for our documentary. Our meeting was very exciting and helpful for our project. Furthermore...

Weekly reflection #2

May 21st, 2023      What a week it has been. To introduce you to this week I will give you a little rundown. We started this week by traveling from across the country from LA all the back to Boston. Camila and I took a red eye which kind of messed up our sleep schedule. The prior week we had learned been really busy so the both of us were ready to relax and focus on putting the documentary together. Besides starting our week with traveling it was time for us to get creative and get ideas for what we wanted to do. We had a lot of great content from the prior week from our interviews and filming different shots of LA.      This week we accomplished a lot. We finished the documentary in total which is amazing and really exciting. I learned this week how to make videos pleasing to the ears and eyes. To make the documentary engaging you have to crop all of the videos to edit out parts of the interview where the person talking maybe paused or said um. Cropp...
